Dr. Steve is a "wholistic" vet. He encourages an "active patient" model (or active patient owner since he's a vet). Questions, alternatives, a full range of services, including water therapy and acupuncture, are provided at his clinic. He "listens" to the pets brought in to get a sense of what the problem is from their perspective, as well as listening to the owner's narrative. His sense of calm and confidence helps the most anxious pets settle down and be at ease. He's the GREATEST!

Dr Lawson and West Hills Animal Hospital have been my vet for many years. The quality of care is superb from primary doctor to front desk. Dr Lawson has taken care of multiple animals for me from me ensuring the highest care possible.... to helping me make the right decision when it was time to help them transition to whatever lies beyond. There are many vets closer to where I live that would be convenient, but I cannot imagine ever changing as long as Dr Lawson is at West Hills Animal Hospital. They are more than a vet -- they are like close family who care as much about my animals as I do!

Dr. Lobb is a wonderful vet, amazing with cats and great with their humans. She is always available for questions, follows up on the kitties and pet parents alike after a procedure and always puts the animal first by giving the best care available. We love The Cat Doctor

She is amazing!!! She goes the extra mile to make sure our pets are healthy. She doesn't pressure you when you cant get something done and doesn't over charge. They always go over the bill and ask what we want done before they do it. Her first priority is the health of our pets. She has done an awesome job when my babies are sick!!

Dr. Kendra is an amazing vet. She goes above and beyond the call of duty. She calls to check in on our cats to make sure they are doing well. She truly loves and cares for our cats. They are spoiled with her attention as soon as we walk through the door. She makes every client feel special. We love her!

Both of these doctors have shown care and compassion above and beyond in taking care of my cats. We moved to Corvallis in 2009 and 3 months later my four cats were seen for annual exams. Less than 2 months later Honey, who was the mother of the others developed tumors and had surgery which showed untreatable cancer. Very soon after that, Cinnamon had a crisis which required exploratory surgery and very close care. Both of these doctors were available to answer my questions and help with aftercare. Cinnamon had a feeding tube in his neck for a period of time. It was a new adventure and challenge for us and Dr. Amsberry made himself available for help during the weekend if I needed it. (Fortunately, I did not.) Cinnamon recovered and is a healthy boy now. Dr. Remcho was extremely helpful during Honey's decline, and when the time came to put her to sleep, she was just as compassionate and caring. Both of these doctors make follow-up phone calls after problems are addressed to make sure the cats are doing well. In every trip to West Hills Animal Hospital, I feel as though we are family members and treated with that kind of attention, care and respect. They are both my heroes.
